First aid for companies
In Belgium, all compagnies must comply with the law. The general principle is that the employer must take the necessary measures to be able to provide first aid to workers who are victims of an accident or feeling unwell, and if necessary transmit the alert to specialized services. This implies, depending on the size of the company, that one or more employees are trained in first aid.
First aid for freedivers and divers
As soon as you wish to progress in apnea or scuba diving, you will have to ensure the safety of your buddy. For this you will need a valid first aid certificate, and be able to provide cardiac massage, give oxygen, and use a defibrillator effectively.
